The Last Act didn't work for me as well. I liked the premise and most of the characters, and the book was very well-written, as always. However, I thought the first part of the story went way too slowly, and I admit that I was getting bored.

The plot didn't pick up until the last pages or so, which was the only truly suspenseful part of the 4/5. The Last Act: A Novel has been added to your Cart Add to Cart.

Author: The book of Acts, also called Acts of the Apostles, does not specifically identify its author. From Luke –4 and Acts –3, we know that the same author wrote both Luke and Acts. The Acts of the Apostles (Koinē Greek: Πράξεις Ἀποστόλων, Práxeis Apostólōn; Latin: Actūs Apostolōrum), often referred to simply as Acts, or formally the Book of Acts, is the fifth book of the New Testament; it tells of the founding of the Christian church and the spread of its message to the Roman Empire.
